Disclaimer

LuxArb Demo is a static demonstration site for cross-platform pre-owned luxury price comparison, operated by Frank Syun. Please read the following before using any information on this site.

1. Sample data — not live quotes

Items labeled as samples (names, condition, prices, and spreads) are fictional or historical placeholders used to demonstrate layout and narrative. They:

  • do not represent live list prices or stock on any platform;
  • do not guarantee that an item can be bought, sold, or authenticated;
  • are illustrative only and may not match current market conditions.

2. Condition, authenticity, and “same item”

In the pre-owned market, two listings are rarely equivalent. Factors that can erase an apparent price gap include:

  • Condition grading differences (Excellent / Very Good / Good — standards vary by platform);
  • Year, serials, and accessories (dust bag, receipt, watch box, warranty card);
  • Authentication outcomes and each platform’s authenticity policy; counterfeit risk is borne by the buyer;
  • Color variation, wear location, repair history, and other details not fully disclosed in a short listing.

3. Shipping, fees, and taxes

Cross-platform comparisons can overlook real costs. Items that may reduce any apparent savings include:

  • Domestic or international shipping, insurance, and duties;
  • Marketplace commissions, listing fees, and payment processing;
  • Return shipping and restocking within return windows;
  • Currency swings and the cost of capital while holding an item.

Therefore, a displayed list-price difference is not the same as money in hand. This site does not encourage inexperienced speculation across platforms.

4. Links and commissions

“View on platform” / “Check price” buttons may open partner or marketplace pages. We may earn a commission when you buy through links on this site. That does not change the item’s listed price. Some buttons may show “Coming soon” until live product links are connected.

5. Not financial or legal advice

Nothing on this site is investment, financial, or legal advice. Pre-owned luxury markets move; past or sample spreads do not predict future results. Readers should do their own research and follow local laws and each platform’s terms.
